Center for Learning
What are Center for Learning courses?
Center for Learning courses are skills-building resources for staff in homeless response and related fields, for funders and directors, and for anyone who'd like to learn more about best practices in homeless response. Our courses are:
- Built for busy adult learners
- Informed by evidence about best practices
- Self-paced: learn at times that work for you
- User-friendly and intuitive
- Mobile-friendly
- A great way to build your resume by earning course certificates
Once a month we host live Office Hours on a variety of topics, where all Center for Learning participants can discuss questions with a subject matter expert. Once you're enrolled in a Center for Learning course, you'll start getting monthly emails about these Office Hours sessions.
I'm currently experiencing homelessness. Can you help?
We're sorry to hear that you're going through this. We don't provide direct services to people experiencing homelessness, and our Center for Learning courses don't cover how to navigate the system as a client. However, please see this page for information about how to seek assistance.

Does the Center for Learning have a refund policy?
We can provide a full refund for a course if the course has not yet been accessed by the learner. Email us at learning@naeh.org.
How do you make your courses?
Our courses are made by real people for real people. We bring together direct service staff, leaders in homeless response, people with lived and living experience of homelessness, researchers, advocates, trainers, instructional designers, and others to make our courses. And we continually seek out and incorporate feedback about how to make our courses more useful for communities. We don't use AI to create content.
Our goal is to make engaging, relevant, up-to-date, real-talk resources you'll be able to use in your work with people experiencing homelessness.
I'm looking for training on topics the Center for Learning doesn't offer.
We're happy to point you in the right direction! Check out the resources below, or email us at learning@naeh.org with questions. (Just so you know, we don't accept any payment or any other consideration for listing a resource below, and we only list resources we genuinely believe to be high-quality.)
