Description

Homelessness doesn’t impact everyone equally. Some communities are more likely to experience homelessness due to systemic and ongoing racism, discrimination, and disinvestment. But there’s something we can do about it. This course is designed for anyone in homeless response and will focus on action steps to address racial disparities in your community.

This is the third and final course in our Race Equity Learning Series: you can enroll in all three courses at once by finding the three-course bundle on our store at https://learning.endhomelessness.org, or you can take the courses individually.

Anyone enrolled in any Center for Learning course is invited to a live online office hour every month. Some office hours are opportunities to ask questions about material in our courses; others focus on emerging issues or specific populations.

We offer a variety of discounts: see our FAQ page. Questions? Email learning@naeh.org.

I thank that the training was very informational. This has been my frustration all along, but its hard when there is only less than a hand full of Black people working in your organization. I remembering working for an non profit for 10 years and I was the only black person there for 7 of them years, I am talking about a large organization with plenty of money. Just like what was said the black youth are looking for a staff that look like them and they were wondering why they choose to stay outside rather than the day program where they would be assigned a CM. They one day ask me why did I think that didn't come in, so you ask the right person. My answer was would you? You all act like you're afraid of them and who would feel comfortable coming in here and to be honest, sometimes I don't feel comfortable here.

This is a lot of good, thought-provoking content. However, it could be more engaging and include more aspects of homeless services.

It was good, it felt a bit surface level at times, I would enjoy a training that flowed a bit better in terms of longer video or conversation.
