Description
Homelessness is solvable, even in these challenging times. This course will explore key dynamics in homelessness, evidence-based practices for addressing homelessness, disparities in homelessness, and an overview of how the homeless response system works.
This course designed for anyone, whether or not you work in homeless response. Staff who are new to homeless response, volunteers, researchers, students, and neighbors who care about supporting people experiencing homelessness will find it especially helpful.
Anyone enrolled in any Center for Learning course is invited to a live online office hour every month. Some office hours are opportunities to ask questions about material in our courses; others focus on emerging issues or specific populations.

Objectives
Your goals in this course will be to:
- Describe the prevalence of homelessness and major trends in homelessness.
- Explore evidence-based solutions for addressing homelessness.
- Understand disparities in who experiences homelessness and why these disparities exist.
- Explore a birds-eye view of how the homeless response system works.
- Identify actions you can take to address homelessness, whether you work in homeless response or not.
